The course materials follow the strict requirements for both the Certification Scheme for Welding Inspection (CSWIP) and Personnel Certification in Non-Destructive Testing (PCN).

The NWIT course consists of the following elements:

  • 2-week course with 56 hours of in-depth teaching material that follows the strict requirements for both CSWIP and PCN.
  • CSWIP approved samples for fillets, butts, and pipes for welding inspection, and visual inspection with borescopes.
  • CSWIP scheme documents, including both theory knowledge and physical samples.
  • Welding inspection to ISO 17637 standards.
  • Visual testing to ISO 9712 standards.

Upon successful completion of the course, candidates will be qualified to perform specialized welding inspection tasks, adhering to approved WPS’s and meeting the stringent standards and procedures required by the industry. The course prepares candidates for CSWIP and PCN certification exams, ensuring they are fully equipped to excel in their roles as specialised welding inspectors.
